What is a Power of Attorney?
Edward A. Sundquist (“Eddie”) is a partner at Raimondo & Sundquist LLP, where he advises individuals, families, businesses, and public entities across a broad range of legal matters. His practice focuses on trusts and estates, marital and divorce law, business law, real estate, municipal law, and civil litigation. With a background that blends private legal practice and high-level public leadership, Eddie brings a practical, solutions-driven approach to every matter he handles.
Eddie began his legal career advocating for injured workers. He later entered public service and was elected Mayor of the City of Jamestown, where he served as the City’s chief executive officer and was responsible for overseeing all municipal operations. During his tenure, he managed 13 divisions, directed a workforce of approximately 450 employees, worked collaboratively with six bargaining unions, and administered a combined municipal budget exceeding $100 million.
In addition to his mayoral responsibilities, Eddie served as President of the Board of Public Utilities, the largest municipally owned power-generating utility in New York State. In this leadership role, he gained deep experience navigating complex regulatory issues, infrastructure planning, governance, and large-scale public-sector operations. As a mentor and educator, Eddie serves as an adjunct professor at St. Bonaventure University, teaching law courses in business law, negotiations, and ethics.
After completing his service as Mayor, Eddie returned to the practice of law, continuing his commitment to helping others–representing businesses, municipalities, and individuals with trusted counsel tailored to their goals and challenges. He represents clients in contested divorces, custody and parenting disputes, support matters, and post-judgment enforcement and modifications. He is also dedicated to the needs of vulnerable individuals and serves as an appointed Court Examiner for Guardianship Accounts in Chautauqua and Erie Counties.
